Our Satisfaction Guarantee

At Authenticelegant, we want you to be completely satisfied with every furniture and decor item sourced through our interior decoration services. If something is not right, we are here to help resolve the issue. This policy works alongside your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; it does not replace or limit them.

Your Statutory Rights

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have legal rights in relation to goods and services. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. You have a short-term right to reject faulty goods (typically within 30 days) for a full refund. For distance or off-premises contracts, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day period to cancel your order without giving a reason; if you cancel, you have 14 days from telling us to send the goods back and we will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or proof of return). These rights cannot be taken away by this policy.

Furniture and Decor Returns

For furniture and decor items purchased through our sourcing services (in addition to your statutory rights above):

  • For distance or off-premises sales: you may cancel within 14 days of delivery and return items within 14 days of notifying us; items should be unused and in original packaging where reasonably possible
  • Custom-made or bespoke items cannot be returned for change of mind but your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods apply
  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise; for faulty or misdescribed items we cover return costs

Damaged or Faulty Items

If an item arrives damaged or faulty, or does not conform to the contract (Consumer Rights Act 2015):

  • Contact us as soon as reasonably possible (we ask within 48 hours of delivery so we can act quickly)
  • Provide photographs of the damage or fault
  • We will arrange collection and replacement or refund at no additional cost to you
  • Do not attempt to repair items yourself, as this may affect your statutory rights

Design Service Adjustments

For our interior decoration consultation and design services:

  • If you are not satisfied with initial design concepts, we offer revisions as outlined in your project agreement
  • Consultation fees are non-refundable once the service has been provided
  • Design plans may be adjusted based on your feedback at no additional charge within the agreed scope

Project Cancellation

If you need to cancel a project:

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund of any deposit
  • Cancellations after work has begun will be charged for completed work at our standard rates
  • Custom orders placed with suppliers cannot be cancelled once confirmed

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return or report an issue:

  • Contact us by phone or email with your order details
  • Describe the issue and provide photographs if relevant
  • Our team will guide you through the return process
  • For cancelled distance contracts we will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or proof of return). For other returns we aim to process within 14 days of receiving the item

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. For distance sales cancelled under the Consumer Contracts Regulations we will make the refund within 14 days. Please allow 5–14 days for the refund to appear in your account depending on your card or bank provider.

Exceptions

For change-of-mind returns, the following are typically not eligible (your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods still apply):

  • Custom-made or personalised furniture made to your specifications
  • Paint, wallpaper, or other applied materials once opened or used
  • Items that have been assembled or installed (where unsealing or use is necessary to inspect them)
  • Clearance or final sale items, where this was clearly stated at purchase
